Thank you!

I want to thank everyone right now who supports me and follows what I do. Last night I won an entrepreneurial award for my business Sparks to Sparkles. I also won an additional award for having a good display at the banquet last night. I couldn't have done it without all of you. Thank you.

A look back: Voicemail!

A few weeks ago I had a voicemail that was played on Adafruit's Ask and Engineer Live. Thought I would share that with you guys! Adafruit is not a sponsor, I just really like them.

It's Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday everybody! Wednesday means that it is time for Show and Tell and Ask an Engineer on Adafruit's YouTube channel! Adafruit is not a sponsor. Sadly, I won't be able to watch live tonight or join in. I will be at an awards banquet. About a month ago I was told that I won an Entrepreneurial Concept Award for my new business Sparks to Sparkles that I started in December of 2016.

For now, I am going to share what I have been working on in the last week (besides all the homework in the world gearing up for finals). First, I've been working on some community outreach programs with the Society of Women Engineers. We've been going out to schools and Girl Scout troops in the community to share engineering with the world. I've been making 3D printed parts and models for the girls to help them learn about additive manufacturing. My 3D printer is very small and portable, making it ideal for outreach events. I've made some keychains for the girls and some robot…

Welcome to my personal blog, Rebecca the Maker! I do a lot with open source projects. This includes open source electronics and 3D printing. If you have ideas for what you would like to see me make, let me know! I would be happy to pursue different avenues of projects. Positive and constructive feedback is always, and I mean ALWAYS, welcomed and encouraged! I will try to post things every week if not more often. Please check back often!
